Derek Jeter got caught playing with a corked bat last night. Sportswriters are riffing on the damage done to Derek the Player, Derek the Man, Derek the All-Star, and the doe-eyed youngsters sitting in the Yankee Stadium bleachers—but, hey, we've got more important things to settle first. Such as, is Derek lying?

In his post-game confessional, Jeter admitted to owning the flubberized bat but said he intended to use it only during batting practice. Somehow, the bat slipped into the dugout, and when Derek faced Tampa Bay starter Jeremy Gonzalez in the first inning, contact shattered it into a hundred pieces. Baseball has yet to mete out a suspension, but one guesses it will fall somewhere in the range of seven to eight games, the amount slapped on fellow corkers Chris Sabo, Albert Belle, and Wilton Guerrero. If Derek's telling the truth, that punishment seems about right. If not, well, the Detroit Tigers could always use another shortstop.

This lunatic has stirred up some controversy with an email to a conservative student at WCCC, who was promoting an event during which Lt. Col. Scott Rudder was to give a speech discussing America's accomplishments in Iraq. The email includes this fancy rhetoric:

"I am asking my students to boycott your event. I am also going to ask others to boycott it. Your literature and signs in the entrance lobby look like fascist propaganda and is \[sic] extremely offensive. \[Daly is a professor of English!] Your main poster "Communism killed 100,000,000 is not only untrue, but ignores the fact that capitalism has killed many more and the evidence for that can be seen in the daily newspapers . . . thanks to the students of WCCC and other poor and working class people who are recruited to fight and die for Exxon and other corporations who are earning megaprofits from their imperialist plunders . . . I will continue to expose your right-wing anti-people politics until groups like yours won't dare show their face on a college campus. Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors and fight for just causes and for people's needs."

His "just cause" includes American soldiers shooting their officers. Wonderful.

Jimmy Massey Hates America

For those unfamiliar with this traitor, Jimmy Massey is a former Marine Staff Sergeant that served in the Iraq War and has returned home to trash and denounce his country and fellow soldiers, accusing them of heinous war crimes which he admitted to participating in himself. Hmmm... Haven't we all heard this somewhere before?

Thus far, he has made the following claims:

Marines from his battalion were "psychopathic killers" that recklessly shot and killed Iraqi civilians, sometimes upon orders from their commanders. "We deliberately gunned down people who were civilians." he claimed in a hearing in Canada.

He had seen a tractor-trailer filled with the bodies of Iraqi civilians that had been killed by American artillery.

Marines in his unit shot four civilian Iraqis in a red Kia automobile who were trying to cooperate and/or surrender with their hands in the air.

He and other Marines in his platoon fired upon a group of innocent demonstrators that were protesting the Marines' presence, holding signs in English and Arabic. When the Marines heard a shot they began firing into the demonstrators.

Of course, this is my summary of the claimes he has made, borrowed heavily from an article in The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and one from Michelle Malkin, Massey's own account of those stories varies wildly depending on who he's talking to. With accusations such as these, Massey immediately became a MSM darling, appearing on National Public Radio and getting full coverage from such "reputable" news sources as The Washington Post, The Sacramento Bee, The Associated Press and USA Today without any corroboration and in most cases without investigation. If he's trashing the troops, why question what he's saying? Rush it to print, that's the modus operandi of these publications.

Massey even wrote a book, "Kill, Kill, Kill," published in France (shocker).

Well, read the St Louis Dispatch-Post article which goes into fine detail about each claim and the fact that Massey is contually changing his story, denying claims he has made and outright lying about situations he has been in.

It's not surprising that a man that was discharged from the Marines as a section 8 (a.k.a. crazy) would concoct fantasies about genocide and war crimes, the REAL crazy thing here is the immediate uncritical media attention that the man has received over the last year. I guess the title of this post should be "The Mainstream Media Hates America," but I could come up with a post every day that deserves THAT title.

The Nobel Peace Prize Committee Hates America

The most recent nobel peace prize was handed out to an Egyptian diplomat for no other reason than that he has anti-American tendencies. Surely, you don't think Mohamed El-Baradei deserves the award because of his work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Even though he shares the award with that same agency AS the head of that agency, no rational person can believe that he is deserving of these honors. In an article for frontpagemag.com, Jacob Laksin points out the many failures of El-Baradei in nuclear non-proliferation, which is, well, his only job.

Nothing in the IAEA's recent past indicates that it can act as a reliable brake on the nuclear ambitions of rogue states like Saddam Hussein's Iraq. It failed to discover Iraq’s nuclear program prior to the first Gulf War – initially lauding Saddam for his compliance with non-proliferation resolutions. In 1998, when he had been on the job for half-a-year, India and Pakistan held joint nuclear tests before announcing their abrupt entrance into the nuclear powers. Since that time, El-Baradei and his agency have failed to detect Pakistan's covert nuclear program, the brainchild of Pakistani scientist A.Q. Khan. The IAEA's scrutiny of North Korea’s nuclear program has done nothing to check the nuclear aims of that Stalinist dictatorship, which is widely suspected of having already developed nuclear warheads. The "watchdog" watched as Libya labored on its WMDs program, only to halt progress after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

I would like to think that if this man did his job correctly, that the world would be a safer, more peaceful place. But I guess you only need to oppose U.S. foreign policy like El-Baradei has done to secure yourself one of those coveted Nobel Peace Prizes. Past selections of prize winners clearly demonstrate this bias as Laksin points out in the article.

[T]he most glaring instance of the Nobel committee's political commentary [is] its 2002 decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to former president Jimmy Carter, whose sole qualification for the prize seemed to be his zeal for denouncing the imminent military liberation of Iraq. Nobel Committee Chairman Gunnar Berge fortified that impression, stating, "It should be interpreted as a criticism of the line that the current administration has taken. It's a kick in the leg to all that follow the same line as the United States."

Even Liberal Rolling Stone Magazine knows that there is a lot going on beneath the surface of the supposed "anti-war" march in Washington D.C. a few weeks ago.

Demonstrators carried papier-mache masks of George Bush as the Great Satan, raised their middle fingers toward the White House and chanted, "Bush is a terrorist!" Speakers at the rally, all but ignoring the plight of soldiers in Iraq, demanded that the U.S. end its "colonial occupation" of Haiti, called for the dissolution of the state of Israel and urged protesters to ally themselves with Iraqi insurgents "who fight back against the criminal U.S. occupation."

Rolling Stone seems to be calling for unity in this article on the "anti-war" movement. In their own words they reveal that this march turned into a giant display of anti-Americanism. Stay on message, lefties! Maybe people will start to take you seriously.

Not every liberal is thrilled about it.

After the march, [war protester Capt. Justin] Gordon expresses [his] outrage, venting his anger that far-left groups "hijacked" the protest. "To those of us focused on the Iraq war, our credibility is diminished by groups like this who carry their own pet projects," he says. "Their anti-American speeches at an anti-war rally are about as useful as having the KKK show up at a pro-war rally."

Which, I must add, you would NEVER see. That's the difference between the left and right. Even leftist that claim not to hate America are quick to ally themselves with those who do.

ACLU Succeeds in it's Fight to Embarass the United States

Southern District of New York Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein, a liberal activist and Clinton appointee, ruled in favor of the ACLU, which was suing the Department of Defense for the immediate release of additional, unseen Abu Ghraib "torture" photos. We know that these unacceptable acts of humiliation (torture?) happened, we arrested the perpetrators, and they have all stood trial and have been sentenced to prison terms. I ask you, what possible purpose would the release of more photos serve?

In one view it MIGHT provoke more violence against U.S. soldiers, it also could further damage the reputation of the U.S. military and the United States in general. The left has been crowing about our "standing" in the eyes of other countries for years. On the other side, the only benefit of releasing photos will be the feeling of glee that leftist will enjoy while the current administration suffers a setback.... our soldiers and national reputation be damned. Really shows you whose side the ACLU is on.

Ed Koch Gets it Right

Former New York City mayor and self-proclaimed "liberal with sanity" Ed Koch gives an excellent analysis of the whole Cindy Sheehan circus in an editorial on "RealClear Politics."

Many Americans, myself included, now see her as a person who has come to enjoy the celebratory status accorded to her by the radicals on the extreme left who see America as the outlaw of the world. These radicals are not content to be constructive critics. They are bent on destroying this country.

He goes on the defend his position on the Iraq War and sheds some light on Cindy Sheehan and her dubious motives.

Sheehan has joined those who rail against Israel, labeling Israel as the culprit with her comment, “You get America out of Iraq, you get Israel out of Palestine and the terrorism will stop.” Is that why Sunni and other terrorists have intentionally killed thousands of Shia civilians, labeling them, according to al-Zarkawi, infidels? Is that why Arab fundamentalists have declared war against all Christians and Jews?

Blair to Murdoch: The BBC Hates America

In a private discussion with British media tycoon, Ruport Murdoch, Tony Blair vocied his complaints that the BBC has gone overboard with it's hate-America slant. Murdoch gave the details at a panel discussion late Friday hosted by former president Bill Clinton.

"Tony Blair -- perhaps I shouldn't repeat this conversation -- told me yesterday that he was in Delhi last week. And he turned on the BBC world service to see what was happening in New Orleans," Murdoch was quoted as saying in a transcript posted on the Clinton Global Initiative website."And he said it was just full of hate of America and gloating about our troubles."

Even Clinton agreed here, saying that the BBC coverage was "stacked up" to criticize President Bush's handling of the disaster. As if we needed Clinton or Murdoch to tell us that the BBC is anti-American. They've been doing this to us for years. Their extreme left wing agenda has pulled it into non-stop America bashing mode. How do they have any credibility left?

Cindy Sheehan REALLY Hates America

ANSWER, a front organization for the Communist Party, is using this protest to call for an end to the war in Iraq; an end to "colonial occupation from Iraq to Palestine to Haiti"; stopping the threats against Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, and North Korea; getting the United States out of the Philippines and Puerto Rico, and getting military recruiters out of schools.

Red Crescent as September 11th Memorial?

Yeah, you guessed it, they got a hold of the memorial in the rural Pennsylvania field and are turning it into a mockery of the events of 9/11. "They" being Paul and Milena Murdoch who's work, according to their website, "strives to span the gap between today’s environmental imperatives and architecture as a historically vital art form." They've chosen a Red Crescent, the symbol of Islam, which happens to be the religion (or the fanatic interpretation of it) that directly caused the 40 deaths in that field, as the central symbol of their memorial architecture.

D. Hamilton Peterson, president of the Families of Flight 93 Inc., defended the choice of imagery.

Peterson said use of the Crescent of Embrace title and the crescent design "are not exclusive trademarks of a very small percentage of evil militants. They do not have ownership to that."

This is akin to building a London memorial to Britons bombed by the Nazis in WWII in the shape of a Swastika. The Nazis certainly didn't OWN the swastika. It had been around for thousands of years. It was a worldwide symbol of good luck and auspiciousness. Most Indian temples, wedding, festivals and celebrations are decorated with swastikas. But it's use would be grossly inappropriate for a memorial to the victims of the Nazis. Wake up, Pennsylvania. It's bad enough we have to fend off the left wing wackos here in New York from seizing the "Ground Zero" memorial!

School Administrators Actively Trying to Censor 9/11

At FrontPage Magazine Columnist Jason Mattera writes an eye opening article exposing several school administrators attempt to stifle 9/11 rememberances this year. Here are some examples of the schemes he uncovered:

Christina and Cynthia Cozzetto of Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station, New York, were told by the school district’s administrative council that a memorial is off limits because the 9/11: Never Forget Project poster showing the burning towers [and other terror imagery]. The council also argued that the Never Forget pins could be used as weapons, and the American flags would poke tiny holes in the sports field. As for pins allegedly being used as deadly weapons, the council never objected to the use and distribution of similar buttons during budget allocation. "Vote Yes" buttons were distributed to the student body when salary increases were to be voted on.
Kathryn Stickley, a student at Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, was initially told by school officials that purchasing 3,000 flags would be too expensive. So Kathryn got the local Veterans of Foreign Affairs to donate the flags. The school then told her that displaying American flags posed a fire hazard. This may seem like a plausible excuse if the event were held, say, in a movie theater. However, the flags would be displayed outside, in open terrain. The local deputy fire chief, Kevin Bersche, laughed at the school’s fire hazard rationale.
Administrators at Washburn University in Kansas tried to derail Sean Harrington and the college conservatives’ 9/11 memorial. Sean was told that his group must camp out 24 hours a day and watch the American flags they plotted in the ground.
Katie Olmsted of Canisius College, in Buffalo, New York, was told by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Ellen O. Conley, that placing small, American flags on the school’s quad would damage its elegant and expensive sprinkler system. That excuse seems a bit silly considering that normal lawn aeration involves prodding small holes into the ground to give the soil fresh air.
The University of Iowa didn’t even attempt to hide their bias. Instead of sponsoring a 9/11 memorial, a "Peace Fest" has been organized. Among others, co-sponsors include the International Socialist Organization, War Resisters League of Iowa City, Iowa Socialist Party, Iowans For Peace, University of Iowa Antiwar Committee, the University of Iowa College Greens, and the Women for Peace Iowa. The Women for Peace Iowa stated they felt "uncomfortable displaying [American flags] and search instead for dove [pins] to wear."

Unbelievable, huh? These people find displays of the American Flag and memorials to 9/11 to be offensive, and then they get indignant if conservatives suggest that liberals are weak on terror. Please! That's such mild language. I'll go one step further and suggest that liberals appreciate terror and hate America.

Yahoo! Chooses To Play With The Commies Over Protecting Its Customers

I saw this shocking story posted on a message board and it filled me with rage.

Corporate America always does stupid things to piss people off. Things like cell phone companies preying on the certainty that some schmuck will go over their monthly minutes or credit card companies frothing at the mouth over the $30 penalty for submitting a late payment.

Yahoo! has taken this practice to far more despicable level that is making me consider to stop using them.

Yahoo! is a bunch of cowards who deserve to lose business over this. No matter how huge that market can potentially be there is no excuse for helping sending a customer to jail for expressing free speech by succumbing to pressure from the Red Chinese Communist Government.

This guy thinks Yahoo! are his lackeys.
The scary part is this seems to happen all of the time.

Western internet companies have regularly been criticized for agreeing to China's strict rules governing the internet, which Communist Party leaders fear could be a tool to spread dissent.

Don't get me wrong. I am a huge proponent of free markets and competitive advantage. Adhering to the most basic principles of freedom will reap far greater future profits than making deals with rogue governments out of fear of losing business.

British bus driver Ged Scott Hates America

British bus driver Ged Scott, from Wallasey, Merseyside, in the U.K. who was on holiday in the New Orleans area, told "This Is London" that the New Orleans police were responsible for severe negligence.

"At one point, there were a load of girls on the roof of the hotel saying 'Can you help us?' and the policemen said 'Show us what you've got' and made signs for them to lift their T-shirts. When the girls refused, they said 'Fine' and motored off down the road in their boat."

I love how this is what is reported as news in London. Does anyone believe this guy for one second? And they say we're hated in Europe because of our foreign policy in the Middle East..... HA! Look at the beating we take in the press over there.

Liberals Set to Remember 9/11 With an "International Cultural Summit”

As we all know by now, leftist in New York City have been patiently planning to ambush the sensibilities of this nation with a hostile "takeover" of any "ground zero" 9/11 memorial. They've managed to work an "International Freedom Center" into the plans of a memorial construction. It will serve as a museum and cultural center that will house exhibits to constantly remind us how awful the United States is and that perhaps we deserved the 9/11 attacks.

Now, on the eve of the anniversary of the attacks we find out that there will be an "international cultural summit" held on September 11th of this year. Board members of both the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) and organizers of the International Freedom Center will attend.

Tom Healy is on the planning committee for the International Freedom Center. As he is also the president of the "Lower Manhattan Cultural Council", he is hosting What Comes Next: Cities, Art + Recovery, an International Summit. While this summit is a gathering of sixty artists, at least two Lower LMDC board members will attend.

News reports have it that one of the summit’s exhibits will feature a straight-jacket made out of an American flag. Another will be a sheet of postage stamps labeled with the words "Patriot Act" and a hand pointing a pistol at President Bush’s head. The "Knock at the Door" exhibit during the 4th anniversary of 9/11 will feature a "live" suitcase bomb, said to contain 4 pounds of TNT. The last time [the artist] Chris Hackett exhibited his "art" it blew up in his face, breaking his jaw.

It never ceases to amaze me. I almost come to expect these kind of America bashing efforts by liberals these days..... but what really amazes me is how some people on the left are still shocked and offended when we point out (once again) that liberals hate America.

Eleanor Clift Has No Respect for U.S. Soldiers

Contributing Editor of Newsweek Magazine, Eleanor Clift thinks our soldiers are nothing more than heartless mercenaries. She's longtime regular panelist on the syndicated political talk show The McLaughlin Group and recently on the show, she had this to say:

But I think what we're coming to grips with is the fact that we actually have a mercenary Army. And it doesn't have a nice ring to it. We call it "volunteers," but we're basically paying people to serve their country. And if you're going to pay people and have a mercenary Army, you're going to have to pay the market rate. And so the bounties are going up -- more money for tuition, higher enlistment bonuses -- and I think it's appropriate.

Eleanor Clift is no stranger to such ridiculous and hateful comments. She once argued on a Fox News broadcast that "American Taliban" John Walker Lindh, was not a traitor. I suppose in light of her latest slander against our troops she probably considers Lindh a more honorable combatant than our proud men and women in uniform. Of course, that's only specualtion on my part..... but would anyone doubt that's what a lot of liberals REALLY think?

Gillian Anderson, Former X-Files Star, Hates America

In any case, she has no desire to be in America; if she hadn't been here already, she would certainly have moved after Bush was re-elected. 'I know people who are embarrassed to be American. They don't like showing their passports. It's becoming a scary place. It takes someone very brave not to be quiet, someone who doesn't mind death threats, their life being turned upside down, news cameras outside their door. There is no freedom of speech in America anymore. They are not living up to the constitution. There's so much fear in America and control.' For this reason, she relishes our overtly critical press, for all that it used to send its photographers to stand outside her house.

The only thing people fear in America right now is liberals regaining power in the 2006 mid-term elections. Obviously, Ms. Anderson missed the whole Cindy Sheehan fiasco if she thinks Americans no longer have the right to free speech. Note to Gillian: Stop hating the country that made you famous.

The "hate America first" anti-War protest crowd has sunk to a new low last week. They have now set up non-stop demonstrations "against the war" right in front of the main entrance to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. With signs that read "Maimed for Lies" and "Enlist here and die for Halliburton" and mock caskets used as props, they spew their hatred right into the faces of the people they pretend they're concerned about.

"[The anti-war protesters] should not be demonstrating at a hospital. A hospital is not a suitable location for an anti-war demonstration," said Bill Floyd of the D.C. chapter of FreeRepublic.com, who stood across the street from the anti-war demonstrators on Aug. 19.

"I believe they are tormenting our wounded soldiers and they should just leave them alone," Floyd added.

Clearly someone slipped outside the outline of the left's game plan on these so-called anti-war demonstrations. These far left-wing agitators are supposed to be feigning grief and dispair at the thought of precious U.S. soldiers being harmed in battle. And these people couldn't help but to carry out the kind of "action" that they've been thirsting for all along..... targeting our troops. It won't be too long before they're spitting in the soldiers' faces and calling them "baby killers."

Please keep in mind that this isn't some renegade group of wackos. These protesters are organized by the same groups (i.e. "Code Pink") that have created a sideshow out of Cindy Sheehan's grieving. And they ARE clearly targeting the soldiers here. That is, unless they are protesting against the hospital staff, which is too bizarre even for THESE lunatics!

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors Hates Our Military

The USS Iowa, an historic battleship involved in battles from World War II to Korea to the Persian Gulf, was all set to become a floating museum/memorial in San Fransico's "Fishermaan's Warf." It would have been a boon to tourism in an already popular location. The nation will not be as strong as it should be militarily, economically or financially until that is done, Bayh said.
"I would have asked people to do something for our country: hybrid vehicles, efficiency standards for appliances, miles per gallon on our vehicles," Bayh said. "Things that I don't think would require a huge sacrifice, but modest sacrifices on the part of ordinary folks."

Bayh, a 2008 wannabe, is echoing the same old recycled left-wing attack that originated at Woodstock thirty-five years ago. The Washington Post Hates 9/11 Memorials

It appears that the "Freedom Walk," an organized event by the Defense Department to memorialize the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks is too radical and offensive to the people at the Washington Post.

"The Post has a code of conduct that says employees should avoid a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest," said Rick Ehrmann, a Local representative for the Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild. "In this case The Post was sponsoring the Pentagon's Freedom Walk, which ties the attack on Sept. 11 to the Iraq war, and of course, The Post's reporters have proven ... that there is no connection between the two, that that link is false."

Harry Belafonte Hates America

At Saturday's march in Atlanta commemorating the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act, singer Harry Belafonte once again showed the world how much he hates America. He referred to blacks in the Bush administration as black tyrants and then resorted to the default liberal rhetoric of comparing the Bush administration to the Nazis.

"Hitler had a lot of Jews high up in the hierarchy of the Third Reich. Color does not necessarily denote quality, content or value," Belafonte said in an exclusive interview with Cybercast News Service. "[If] a black is a tyrant, he is first and foremost a tyrant, then he incidentally is black. Bush is a tyrant and if he gathers around him black tyrants, they all have to be treated as they are being treated"

Of course Belafonte is known for such gems when he's trashing the country. David Horowitz's discoverthenetwork.org attributes the following to Mr. Belafonte during recent anti-war protests.

"I go to places where enormous upheaval and pain and anguish exist," he says. "And a lot of it exists based upon American policy. Whom we support, whom we support as heads of state, what countries we've helped to overthrow, what leaders we've helped to diminish because they did not fit the mold we think they should fit, no matter how ill advised that thought may be."

It seems that Harry Belafonte is so fed up with the Unites States that he can no longer contain his lunatic animosity. That's O.K., because I think the rest of us are fed up with HIM by now. Stop hating America, Mr. Belafonte. Enough is enough.

Paul Krugman Hates America

Well... he, at least, thinks France is better. In a New York Times article (link goes to The International Herald Tribune's reprint because NYTimes.com charges money to look at it) Krugman compares the U.S. and French economies.

Americans are doing a lot of strutting these days, but a head-to-head comparison between the economies of the United States and Europe - France, in particular - shows that the big difference is in priorities, not performance. We're talking about two highly productive societies that have made a different tradeoff between work and family time. And there's a lot to be said for the French choice.

Yeah, the French had better "choose" to spend more time with their families... considering that unemployment in France is upwards of 10%. Good choice, France.

The United States will never win in Krugman's eyes. He just has no respect for this (his own) country. If we do anything right, he'll spin it to look like a tradeoff of something good for something bad.

It's unbelievable that the taxpayers of Colorado still provide this man with a paycheck. What value does he bring? He's really an insult to the institution of American education.

George Galloway (Again) Hates America/Western Civilization

The ACLU Hates America

While the rest of NYC's leadership is trying to protect subway riders, the ACLU is working OT to make it easier for terrorists to attack mass transit. In light of the London bombings, one would assume that the terrorist sympathizing organization might actually cooperate with the government. But that would imply that they love America and well, we know that's not true. Just one question: How long will it take the ACLU to blame Bloomberg and company if terrorists actually succeed in attacking New York again?

The Treasonous Behavior of the ACLU

It seems that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is in a new struggle to discredit our country in a time of war. The ACLU is suing the Pentagon so that they will release additional, unseen, Abu Ghraib "torture" photos to the public. What possible purpose could this action serve? Well, it would serve to add more fuel to the fire in the War on Terror, and no more. Clearly, those responsible for the high jinks at Abu Ghraib have already been investigated and prosectuted and are currently serving out their punishment. What does the ACLU want here?

Well I agree with Michael Reagan when he asserts that the ACLU is trying to undermine the War in Iraq.

I can't reach any other conclusion but that the ACLU feels the only way for this war in Iraq to end is to have more Americans die so that the backbones of the American people will weaken, as happened in Vietnam, and will finally demand that Washington stop fighting the terrorists there and pull out. I'm convinced that the ACLU has reached the conclusion that the only way they can accomplish this is to pour more fuel on the fire and allow the enemy to recruit more terrorists to kill more Americans.

The left is so phony whenever the subject of terrorism comes up. They complain that when the president says "bring it on" to the terrorists (a statement from our leader that shows some boldness in the face of threats) it endangers us by stirring up the fanaticism of the terrorists..... all the while pushing for the release of photos of U.S. soldiers allegedly abusing muslims so that it can be plastered all over the Middle East. They are TRAITORS, plain and simple. The ACLU hates our troops and it hates America!

The National Lawyers Guild Hates America

A few days ago the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) put out a press release on Supreme Court Nominee John Roberts. It contains the usual panicky sky-is-falling whining about what this could mean to their vision of this country's future.

The President has sought to remake the law in this country by appointing to the federal bench a cadre of judges who will rule against regulation of industry by the federal government, in favor of state's rights, against civil rights and remedies for discrimination, against the rights of workers and consumers and against a woman's right to choose to terminate a pregnancy. Judge John Roberts brings a career advocating this vision on behalf of Presidents Reagan and Bush Sr. to the Supreme Court.

It's no surprise that a George W. Bush nominee (no matter who it was) would freak out the NLG, but let's examine this organization that claims it's comprised of "members and activists in the service of the people." Exactly which people, I wonder......

Well, for one, we can start with it's origin. It was founded in 1936 by the Communist Party USA. O.K., good start. What is it's track record? As Michael P. Tremoglie points out on frontpagemag.com, the NLG endorsed the murderous regime of Kim Jong Il in North Korea after a phony "fact-finding" mission some of their representatives took in 2003.

"We no longer accept bald allegations of 'widespread violations of human rights'"

"We noticed that the people on the whole looked well dressed and active. We saw no one who looked malnourished or emaciated."

"We noted that this was not the Orwellian society George Bush and much of the media is trying to portray."

Despite the fact that Amnesty International, The Chinese government, The United Nations, and prominent members of the Clinton administration (no Bush lackeys) have all spoken volumes that contradict these naive "observances," the NLG has absolved Kim Jong Il of any wrongdoing.

The NLG apparently just loves any enemy of the United States, regardless of the suffering and misery that they might bring upon their people or the world around them. And these people claim to represent the common American? Please.

Dick Durbin: Self Hating Catholic

The LA Times story by Jonathan Turley, stating that Supreme Court nominee John Roberts would recuse himself if "the law required a ruling that his church considers immoral," was "fed to the LA Times" by Sen. Dick Durbin's office, Sean Hannity just stated minuted again. The story quotes Roberts making such a statement after being asked by Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) "what he would do if the law required a ruling that his church considers immoral."

Most Americans would consider this unacceptable. Just because John Roberts might actually believe in the faith he claims to have is no grounds to deny him a seat on the Supreme Court. If liberal Catholic Democrats like Dick Durbin dare hammer Roberts on religion at his hearing, they are finished. If Democrats want someone who slandered our troops to lead the anti-Catholic attack, they are much dumber than I thought. Message to Durbin - stop hating your own religion.

Eight soldiers got a chance to preview the series pilot last week at Camp Murray, headquarters of the Washington State National Guard in Tacoma. Most of them were Iraqi War vets.

[Those] critics at Camp Murray were left wondering just what the message was in "Over There." One said a young soldier who brags about slitting the throat of a child sentry "makes us look like murderers."

In one scene in which a bomb goes off and severly wounds one of the soldiers, his buddies panick and one of them vomits.

"People don't act like that when an i.e.d. (improvised explosive device) goes off. They make us look like idiots. We're not idiots!" said a first lieutenant previewing "Over There."

Liberal morons like Steven Bochco will never get it. He thinks the show is non-partisan, yet he obviously can't hide his disdain for our troops.

The painting is part of an exhibit of more than 30 works by lawyer artists and pieces with overt legal themes and has been the source of some controversy.

"I don't know why we need to tolerate the cheap artwork of a gadfly with a world view that is so offensive to a majority of the people," said Karen Hanretty, a spokeswoman for the California Republican Party.

It's pretty ridiculous. I'd say that the artist should go hate America on his OWN property, not the states, be he's already tried that.

The artist, Stephen Pearcy, a Berkeley lawyer with a house in Sacramento, won earlier notoriety for hanging an effigy of an American soldier on the outside of his home here with a sign saying "Bush lied, I died." Angry residents tore the effigies down.

Now that a Republican president is in position to re-shape the Supreme Court for the next 10 years liberals are starting to get very anxious because their power in Washington is pretty much all but gone.

Take MoveOn.org for example. Here is an organization that has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in order to prop up the leftist presence in Washington since the last election. MoveOn.org has been a complete failure. Despite its extensive media exposure, it has done nothing to help democrats regain their position. In recognition of their failures, MoveOn has taken steps in softening their image. According to Drudge Report, special instructions were given to the media attendees at an anti-Bush rally MoveOn was hosting. They read:

We don't want to come across as leftist, liberal activists. We want to come across as we are - regular folks who are finally saying enough is enough to the extremists; that we're not falling for their extremist rhetoric anymore and we're finally going to expend the effort necessary to get our country back.

There you have it, MoveOn.org has to actually say they are NOT extreme liberals, but "regular folks" in front of cameras in order to look favorable to the public.

The AP Hates America

The AP, scared to death that President Bush may actually appoint someone that thinks like him, is officially on board with Democrats in the Supreme showdown:

Legal experts on both sides speculate that the retirement of O'Connor raises the prospect that Bush will name Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. He is not a favorite of conservatives, who continued to target the White House this weekend in their anti-Gonzales campaign, saying his views on issues such as abortion and affirmative action are not aligned far enough to the right.

Someone then drops the bomb on the Supreme Court:

But American University historian Allan J. Lichtman says naming an extremely conservative nominee could backfire on the president because it might prompt Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, a moderate conservative who also has been a swing vote on the court, to inch away from the right.

Gee Lichtman, wouldn't that be awfully political for an "independent" member of the judicial branch? The AP, probably the biggest liars in the MSM working for Democrats, just sunk Gonzales. The AP is still mad that they can't win elections and they can't win elections because they hate America.

Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi exposed in full detail how liberals hide behind the Supreme Court on issues they agree with, but know they cannot publicly endorse. This outrageous exchange on the eminant domain decision says it all:

Q: Could you talk about this [eminant domain] decision? What you think of it?
Ms. Pelosi: It is a decision of the Supreme Court. If Congress wants to change it, it will require legislation of a level of a constitutional amendment. So this is almost as if God has spoken. It's an elementary discussion now. They have made the decision.
Q: Do you think it is appropriate for municipalities to be able to use eminent domain to take land for economic development?
Ms. Pelosi: The Supreme Court has decided, knowing the particulars of this case, that that was appropriate, and so I would support that.

God has spoken? Does God love abortion like the current Court does too? At least we know who liberals are praying to at night - John Paul Stevens!

Essentially, liberals and their enablers on the Supreme Court do have a standard for what is considered free speech - anything that seeks to denigrate America, it's culture, it's traditions, and the very foundation our lives are built on is considered free speech. Life is easy in America if you hate it.
